The Hardin County Clerk’s Office provides many services to the people of Hardin County. Whether it is recording deeds, mortgages and other legal documents, or vehicle transactions and registrations; we are here to serve the public in a business friendly and efficient manner.
This website in one more way that we are trying to improve our services, and accommodate the public. If you are doing genealogical research or needing a copy of a deed or mortgage, this website will make your research easier and convenient.
Many questions concerning vehicle registration can be answered as a result of this site. Plus, forms needed in some transactions can be downloaded. In regard to elections, candidates are listed, and you can even find out if you are registered to vote and where you vote.

We have 2 locations to better serve you.
Elizabethtown

The Hardin County Clerk's Office Recording Department is available for a range of transactions involving Real Estate and Non-Real Estate.
Examples are:
Power of Attorney
Marriage License
Notary Bonds
Hunting and Fishing License
In addition, the department is a resource for genealogical research.
The Hardin County Clerk's Recording Department is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 4:30 at our Elizabethtown office.
Our Radcliff office does issue Marriage Licenses, but CAN NOT recieve recordings, please make sure that ALL RECORDINGS go to our Elizabethtown Office.
